Basecare Medical and Haier biological strong alliance to build a assisted reproductive cryopreservation solution
On July 13, Suzhou Basecare Medical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Basecare Medical") and Qingdao Haier biomedical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Haier biomedical") formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will carry out cooperative research and development in the field of assisted reproduction cryopreservation, and jointly provide cryopreservation solutions for the assisted reproduction industry, which is another in-depth industrial cooperation after the cooperation between Basecare Medical and Haichuang master fund capital. Dr. liuzhanjie, founder of Haier biology, Liu Dong, general manager of Haichuang Qianfeng master fund, Dr. Liang Bo, founder of Basecare Medical, and other guests attended the signing event.
Embryo laboratory, andrology laboratory and low-temperature storage laboratory are important components in the field of assisted reproduction. Among them, low-temperature freezing technology, as an indispensable and important technology in the implementation of assisted reproduction, has been widely used in the field of assisted reproduction, providing guarantee and hope for people in need to realize their reproductive needs and reproductive health. The 2018 "Chinese expert consensus on the preservation time limit of frozen embryos" pointed out that: frozen embryos should be used within 5 years as far as possible, and the longest preservation and clinical use time limit of couples planning to reproduce should not exceed 10 years. This means that at present, assisted reproduction centers need to invest a lot of storage resources, including storage containers, storage space, management and maintenance, which are increasing year by year. With the increase of infertility and the number of elderly mothers, the demand gap for fertility preservation is still expanding, and the market potential is huge.
Focus on fertility preservation and build a low-temperature preservation solution in the field of assisted reproduction
Haier biology is the first enterprise in Qingdao to list on to the science and innovation board. It began with the research and development, production and sales of biomedical low-temperature storage devices, comprehensively promoted the integration and innovation of Internet of things technology and low-temperature storage technology, combined the software and hardware of Internet of things based on network communication and radio frequency identification technology with self-developed low-temperature storage products, and upgraded traditional storage devices to Internet of things scenario solutions to meet clinical blood use, vaccination，the application of biological sample library and other user iterative needs to build an IOT science and technology ecosystem. Haier biology took the lead in breaking the foreign monopoly, independently developed and mastered the core technology of ultra-low temperature refrigeration, and became the world's only biomedical low-temperature storage device service provider covering the full temperature range of -196 ℃ to 8 ℃.
As the first IVD industry listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the field of assisted reproduction in China, Basecare Medical has always adhered to the concept of "making innovative products" and adhered to the path of standardized research and development, registration and certification. As early as 2015, Basecare Medical started the research and development of embryo intelligent storage equipment and management system. Its independently developed domestic intelligent liquid nitrogen tank (BCT38) and ultra-low temperature storage instrument (BSG800A) provide guarantee for the safety of fertility preservation and the scientificity of experimental management. It is expected to obtain the registration certificate in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Among them, BCT38 will become the first intelligent liquid nitrogen tank product to obtain the registration certificate of class II medical devices in China.
In this strategic cooperation, the two sides will integrate their respective product, channel and other resource advantages, and jointly build low-temperature preservation solutions in the field of assisted reproduction from the aspects of market promotion, technical support, cooperative research and development, registration and certification, so as to promote the comprehensive expansion of fertility preservation related application scenarios. The new resource sharing mode can assist the development of the reproductive industry, help good products and technologies enter clinical applications quickly and effectively, and benefit more patients.
