In the field of reproductive health, the self-developed sperm quality analyzer is undergoing intelligent transformation and upgrading. The new generation of intelligent non-destructive sperm quality analyzer, which is independently researched and developed, has successfully entered the "National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition Field Competition" organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, achieving a new breakthrough from scratch and exploring an independent path to break through the "National tide" game.

Sperm quality is a barometer of male reproductive health and an important factor in determining fertility. In China, one out of every 7 ~ 8 couples cannot have a child naturally. Due to the huge infertility population, about 300 million Chinese men need to check semen every year. At the same time, there are 27 sperm banks in China, which also produce a large number of sperm testing needs every year. Sperm quality detection requires the sperm quality analyzer to check the health status of sperm item by item and evaluate the quality of sperm comprehensively, so as to confirm the causes of male infertility, find the appropriate treatment plan and completely solve the problem of male infertility.

The development of domestic sperm quality analyzers has gone through three stages from imitation to parity, and then to innovative breakthroughs. With the continually-enhanced research and development capabilities, the equipment now even has a better price-performance ratio than imported equipment in the domestic market, with impressive progress. However, most mainstream sperm quality analyzers currently rely mostly on manual counting or computer-assisted sperm analysis technology for male sperm detection, which presents issues such as quality control difficulties, cumbersome testing processes, and long lead times. To achieve the goal of non-invasive, accurate, convenient, and more intelligent detection of sperm, it is urgent to seek new solutions in hardware, analysis algorithms, and clinical use of sperm detectors. These pain points are also the breakthrough points that domestic sperm quality analyzers are innovatively surpassing.

After more than two years of research and development, a new generation of intelligent non-destructive sperm quality analyzer with self-developed technology has achieved a new breakthrough in the blank field of sperm intelligent detection and analysis with the help of late advantage. The artificial intelligence (AI) nondestructive sperm quality analysis technology has the advantages of full automatic, high throughput, nondestructive, real-time and convenient. It belongs to the world's leading fully intelligent nondestructive sperm quality analysis technology independently developed in China, and fills the four technical gaps: 1. The absence of spermatozoa morphology detection using live spermatozoa; 2. Technical gap of non-invasive sperm morphology capture; 3. Lack of intelligent spermatozoa morphological analysis vacancy; 4. The technical gap of sperm concentration, motility and morphology cannot be detected simultaneously in real time. In the fourth "Shanghai-Wuhan Tongji Reproductive Medicine Forum", this research project has reached cooperation with 20 domestic reproductive centers, and will be applied to clinical practice in the future to realize the "intelligent" detection and analysis of sperm.
